From the outset as voluntary journalism Jan-Satyagrah's amateur team has now emerged to the core of the profession. Thus, in pursuit of our mission of Issue-Based Journalism, we are in search of young, enthusiastic team members matching with same spirits of crusading.

We are hiring for the following areas. The internship opportunity is also in scope.


Writer/Journalist/Researcher

Role: Writing news stories & opinion essays, research & data gathering.
Skills: Journalistic writing in English or Hindi or both, sound knowledge of current affairs, someone who consumes and analyzes the news and happenings, background of the main issues reflected editorial policy.
Experience: Preferred.
Remuneration: According to Industry.


Reporters

Role: Cover the Key events, Moderate Interview, Investigative Reporting.
Skills: Dare to Challenge Status Quo, Sound in liasoning, RTI Practioner, Prefer travels.
Experience: Preferred.

Web Development/Technical

Role: Development and Maintaining the Web Stuff and Jan-Satyagrah Platforms.
Skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySql.

Graphic Design

Role: Prepare Graphics Stuff for JS Stories, infographics, and Social Media Campaigns.
Skills: Expert in Photoshop & Illustrator, can play with real to prepare image layouts and experts in making illustrations that intensify the story focus, Aware about graphic elements e.g. Vectors, Graffiti. Know about Journalistic caricaturing skills (If have).
Experience: Preferred.

Video Editing

Role: Editing raw footages, storyboarding, and aftereffects.
Skills: Adobe Package and other compatible packages.
Experience: Preferred.

Anchor:

Role: Hosting the webcast, special shows, panel Debates and special Shows.
Skills: Sound in presentation skills, fluent in speaking Hindi & English, someone who loves to perform creative ideas.

Camera and Equipment Crew:

Role: Direct the photography, handle the lights and Sound Recording instruments.
Skills: Photography, Lighting Equips handling.

Google tracks referral sources if available, length of visit and page views. We also have email analytics based on number of emails opened and track the links in the email.

We at jansatyagrah.in take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorised access to or unauthorised alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. jansatyagrah.in will not sell or trade your personal information with any other organisation without your prior written consent. During financial transactions that take place on our website, you will be diverted to our payment gateway where you will be required to enter your banking and personal details. jansatyagrah.in will not store any copy of the user’s banking details.

Access to personal information is restricted to jansatyagrah.in employees who need to know that information in order to run and improve our initiatives and will not be made public. However, if and when we run a campaign, where we share user information with any of our partner organizations, we will put a link next to the button that explains the process and the purpose of the information being shared.

Sending Emails Via jansatyagrah.in

In certain cases, we enable you to send individual e-mails to members of parliament and other targets as well as Letters-to-the-Editor to various news publications, through our website. These messages are sent in your name, with your e-mail address as the return address and your full name and contact information is provided as part of the submission. These messages will only be sent out under your name as you approve them on an individual basis using our email tool. You are solely responsible for the specific message(s) you send using our email tool.

Phone Initiatives

From time to time, jansatyagrah.in staff members, volunteers, and vendors may contact you by telephone about urgent initiatives.
